Hello and thank you for visiting A Feather and a Butterfly Inc. and for taking the time to read my story. A Lot of it I have spoken above.
I spent most of my adult years in corporate America. I was a go getter, get to the desk by 6am, get the to do list done by 2pm, kind of worker. I could not work from behind. Nope, Not in my genes. Fast paced days, earlier mornings and sometimes late nights, and that was me. Work, work, work.
Whew! Now turn me upside down and spin me around and am a "working" stay at home mom, with two beautiful children, 12 and 9. My days are different. They are still busy, 7am comes and 2.30pm arrives just as quick, and my do to list is NEVER done by 2pm anymore. Huge adjustment for me. But it's a good adjustment.
I found my calling. I've always loved the Arts, I have a degree in web design and being creative has not always come easy, but it is fun when I find the missing piece to the puzzle I have been working on.
I love making Jewelry. I taught myself everything, from wire wrapping, to wire knitting, to soldering silvers and gold, while adding bezels and designs and stones of course. I've taught myself how important it is to measure wire to make a ring and to preciously edge to edge cut that wire, so that they just breeze past each other with barely a seam. I've learned to make fine to fun Jewelry, Like Resin Products, using flowers, crushed gemstones and Jimmies or Sprinkles and sparkles and glitter. Whatever, I will try it. I am super proud of what I have learned, There are no machines here just my two hands. The only machine is my gemstone and jewelry tumbler for polishing and of course my trusty Dremel which I use for EVERYTHING!
I put 100% into everything I do, always have, I never settle for ok, just not in my DNA, so I promise you always the best quality in whatever I make.
I hope you enjoy looking at the items i have made in the store, (Minus the Vintage Items which I collect at the Estate Sales) Which has become one of my new hobbies.
Who knows what is next to come! Hopefully a year filled with abundance and happy and healthy customers.
